I personally don't like facebook's business model which has exploited flaws in relationships in an effort to promote cheating. Seriously, that is how facebook is designed. I would prefer to see friendster take the high road to success.

my personal point of view on why friendster got taken over by myspace and facebook is that bloggers, webmaster, internet marketers etc. don't find friendster aside from socializing as a tool a to market their products or promote their sites mainly because friendster breaks all links from their site.

Friendster is the very first social networking site that I know and I've joined. I would like to agree with you that it is the Friendster that started it all. When I joined friendster about 6 years ago, other networking such as Facebook was not heard before. In terms of social networking my loyalty would always lies on Friendster, and I'm very glad they're getting bigger and and improving every year. Its nice to know that they are working on the patent.

I just told my daughter (who is an avid Friendster user) about this blog. She had been ecstatic because she didn't know about the 4 patents that Friendster has. She MySpace and Facebook accounts but Friendster is where she really connects to more friends.
