I actually like the direction these last two Bond movies have taken. If I remember correctly, I think the good guys were thinking that the bad guys were making an oil play at the time of the murder. It made sense to me that the bad guys would try to reinforce this with miss direction.

It’s really ironic that this latest Bond movie is a record-breaker. I haven’t watched the movie yet but most of friend who did have similar review and comments like yours. They were not as articulate as you though. Just said ‘Quantum should be a flop ‘coz it sucks’. My favorite Bond actors are Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan. I still watch their movies. Thanks for sharing your views. You just saved my few dollars because I plan to buy a dvd copy of the movie.
