Decanter magazine’s “Man of the Year” Christian Moueix is opening his personal stock and making this exclusive tasting event available to only 14 discriminating (and top paying) guests.  Monsieur Moueix, who oversees the family estate Saint Emilion and Pomeril and also owns the Dominus Estate in Napa Valley will be the guide and host for the evening, guiding guests through a sublime tour of ultra rare wines.

“To enjoy these extremely rare wines and to have the personal guidance of an expert such as Mr. Moueix is an amazing treat for one’s senses,” says Toni Neumeister, vice president, food & beverage. “For even the most discerning palates, this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.”

If the wine alone wasn’t enough to fork over the credit card right now, Crystal Lines sweetens the deal by booking top chef Heinz Beck of Rome’s top eatery La Pergola.  Beck and Moueix are collaborating on a menu that is sure to wow guests beyond any previous wine/food experience to date.  Beck’s signature Fagottelli “La Pergola” will be featured along with Carpaccio of Scallops on Amaranth Grain and Black Corn with Ginger Oil and Crepinette of Lamb.  Wow!

This top shelf dinner may be purchased only aboard the Crystal Serenity and will be served in the Vintage Room.  The Ultimate Vintage Room dinners were first introduced in mid 2007 and have continuously sold out within a matter of hours.

The 12 day August 24th tour will be a presidents cruise visiting Turkey’s Kusadasi; Santorini, Rhodes, Crete and Corfu, Greece; and Taormina and Sorrento, Italy.  Prices for this cruise start at $4,995 per person based on double occupancy.
